Ayushmann opens up on working with Dangal girl Sanya Malhotra in Badhai Ho

Trust Ayushmann Khurrana to choose the right scripts. Known for his great choice in movies, the actor is preparing for his next, Badhai Ho, alongside Sanya Malhotra.

Ayushmann explains that the movie is in a quirky space. “That’s a space I really want to own,” he laughs. “We have still not revealed the one-liner for the movie, and I can’t talk much about the film as such, but it was great working for Badhai Ho.”

He’s also glad to be working with Sanya. “It was great working with Sanya, because she was also very close to my brother (Aparshakti Khurrana) while working on Dangal. She’s a great girl. Her journey has been tremendous and she’s a talented actress.”

Helmed by Amit Sharma, Badhai Ho is a drama that revolves around Ayushmann’s family, which gets unexpected news. This leads them to face an unknown situation, which also gives birth to several unwanted problems.

As someone who hails from a television background, Ayushmann says he’s ready to experiment with the digital platform too. “Digital isn’t the future; it’s the present,” he asserts.

“Digital is a great platform and it is giving good work to many newcomers. They come up with great stories, and it’s the best time to be an artiste,” he says, approving of the medium.
