It's not over for Hrithik and Kangana, warring actors gear up for another face-off

The film based on the historical tale of Rani Laxmibai is scheduled to release during the Republic Day weekend of January 2019.

The makers of Kangana Ranaut’s ambitious project Manikarnika — The Queen of Jhansi, which has been in the news for all the wrong reasons, have finalised a release date. The film based on the historical tale of Rani Laxmibai is scheduled to release during the Republic Day weekend of January 2019.

The official statement released by the team reads, “Zee Studios and producer Kamal Jain proudly announce the release date of the most-anticipated magnum opus, #Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi. Mark your calendar as this extraordinary tale of strength and valour that has inspired Indians across generations comes alive on the silver screen on January 25, 2019.”

Here’s the twist in the tale — that’s also the release date of Hrithik Roshan’s first biopic, Super 30, which is based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar. But since the two clashing films belong to different genres, perhaps they won’t hamper each other’s collections after all. We’ll have to wait and watch.
