After Flat 211, Sunil Sanjan's short film Promise to release this Sunday

Mumbai: After making his debut as a producer-director with the thriller 'Flat 211', Sunil Sanjan is all set to venture into short film space.

Sunil is ready with 'Promise' which is scheduled to release this Sunday, 23 July.

Speaking about the project, Sunil says, "'Promise' is my life's first project, the first ever short film that I have made. It had been circulating in various film festivals across India and that's the reason I was not able to release it officially. I shot it in December 2014 and by 2015 it was ready for release, but in the meantime, I also started working on 'Flat 211', so I didn't bother much about releasing it."

The success of the short film is what inspired the filmmaker to make 'Flat 211.'

"I got a lot of compliments and praise for 'Promise' after it was showcased at various film festivals. This is what encouraged me to make 'Flat 211'".

About 'Promise', Sanjay says, "Till now it has been selected and appreciated at 11 film festivals across the world. The concept is little different and out of the box. The film is about a couple and the promise that they make to each other and how they fulfill it. It's a suspense film, but the story's tone is sad, romantic and it revolves around a love story."

'Promise', directed and produced by Sunil Sanjan, will be officially releasing online.
