Mumbai: If recent reports are anywhere to be true, Dhanush has replaced actor Vicky Kaushal in Bejoy Nambiar's upcoming film which is a remake of Tamil film 'Agni Natchathiram' (1988) by filmmaker Mani Ratnam.
Mumbai Mirror quoted a source, as saying, "Vicky has walked out of the film citing date issues, but there were reports that it was basically because he was unhappy with the actress who they were thinking of casting opposite him."
"But basically it will be filmed from August to October in Mumbai as the makers want to shoot during the monsoons and Vicky has already committed his dates to another film during this period and hence had no option but to drop out of the film," the insider added.
Going by the reports, the 'Wazir' director has made few changes in the film's script to make it simple and suitable for Dhanush.
Dhanush shot to fame with his popular song 'Why this Kolaveri Di' and made his Bollywood debut with Anand L. Rai's 'Raanjhanaa' opposite Sonam Kapoor.
The upcoming remake would be his third Bollywood film after 'Raanjhanaa' and 'Shamitabh'.
