Mumbai: At Indian box office, a film’s first day, first show usually opens at a respectable hour in the morning but Kabali’s first day, first show began sharp at 5 am in Chennai. Well, it’s a Rajinikanth film, so rules don’t get much importance.
Before starting the ‘Kabali’ journey, fans gathered outside theatre around 4 am to cheer for their superstar. The vision reminded us of popular festivals as fans lit firecrackers and danced to the beat of drums.
Not only in Chennai, but Mumbai too was down with ‘Kabali’ fever as the city’s Aurora Theatre (the owner is a Rajinikanth fan) witnessed similar frenzy on Friday (July 22). Fans flooded the theatre early morning to watch their favourite superstar.
