Sonakshi appears to have had it with negativity in her life. In a rather telling post on her Instagram, the actress shared a picture with ta note, “The first step of protecting your sanity is to stay away from negativity. And no where more of that than twitter these days! Chalo, im off — deactivating my account. Bye guys, peace out (sic).”
The caption to her post, which garnered close to 125,000 likes, reads, “Aag lage basti mein, mein apni masti mein! [The village can burn down for all I care; I shall stick to my fun ways!] Bye Twitter (sic).” She had disenabled comments to her post.
Social media has been abuzz wondering if Sonakshi’s actions have anything to do with the talk of nepotism and favouritism lifting its head again after the unfortunate and untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput. She was heavily trolled after she paid her tributes to the dead actor.
Karan Johar, another person who faced incessant trolling for his tribute to Sushant, decided to unfollow several people on Twitter. He now follows eight Twitter handles, three of which include Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan.
