Vivek Oberoi invited netizens’ wrath upon himself when he shared a meme related to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on his social media handle. So much so that the actor had to pull down his tweet.
The tweet, which compared Aishwarya’s previous relationships and current marriage with the election polls, was deemed sexist and insensitive. In fact, the National Commission for Women and Maharashtra State Women’s Commission (MSWC) also found his tweet “disrespectful” to the dignity of women. While NCP has already issued a legal notice against him, the latter organisation also plans to take an action against the actor.
