As a protective son, I got assertive with my words: Sohail Khan on tiff with media

Salman Khan's brother Sohail has also apologized for offending anyone with his actions.

Mumbai: Ever since Salman Khan made his first public appearance with his Romanian long time rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur at Preity Zinta's wedding reception, a lot of speculations regarding the actor’s marriage started making rounds.

Soon enough, another report stated that the actor was prepping for a December wedding with Iulia. Salman’s family members have locked the actor’s 51st birthday (December 27) as his wedding date.

On Thursday (May 12), Salman's brother Sohail stepped out to dine with his father, Salim where he was quizzed about Salman’s marriage plans with Iulia.

The actor lost his temper and yelled at the reporter. Surprised by this behaviour, the scribe took a step back but Sohail went on to abuse and demanded the camera to be switched off. After Salman, Sohail as broken his silence and has clarified the incident.

In an interview to a daily, the actor revealed that he did it to protect his father who was being questioned by the media at midnight. The actor says that the incident was unnecessary and unfortunate; however, he acted out of concerned son who and got protective towards his father as the reporters covered him with mics, lights and unnecessary questions in the middle of the night.

Sohail Khan further revealed that the media present at the venue restricted his father, Salim, who was tired and needed his space, from stepping inside the car. Though the actor was initially polite and calm, when he saw his words fall flat, the protective son emerged and he got assertive and asked paparazzi to back off.

The actor has also apologized for offending anyone and clarified his actions by saying that he was just doing his job as a son, just like paparazzi were doing their job.
