Indian tennis player Sania Mirza's biopic on cards
Mumbai: After a few months of negotiations, Ronnie Screwvala’s company RSVP has bagged the rights to make a film on ace tennis player Sania Mirza. Although there were a few production houses showing the interest to make the biopic, RSVP sealed the deal.
“There were a few clauses in the agreement which were discussed in detail. There are clauses like the right to portray real events, use real characters from the life of Sania and also the right to fictionalise the life and events, and the right to add or delete characters from the life of the personality in the film. These were clauses that took a while for Sania to sign but eventually, the deal was sealed and the makers have now issued a public notice regarding the same on Sunday,” says a trade source.
The actor to play Sania has still not been confirmed yet, although there was a buzz that Sania might play herself in the biopic.
