Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra have made for a splendid on-screen couple since they made their debut in Karan Johar’s Student of The Year, and once more set the screen on fire with their pairing in Shakun Batra’s Kapoor & Sons.
Now, even as rumours of them coming together for Shakun’s next have been swirling, Shakun has dismissed the talks as nothing more than wild conjecture.
Refuting the claims that he’s getting the two back together, Shakun says, “No, it’s not true at all; it’s mere gossip. I’m currently writing my next script, and it would be unfair to me to talk about anyone’s attachment to the project before the script is complete and shared with the actor officially.”
A source close to Karan’s Dharma Productions says that Shakun’s next would be an an out-of-the-box project, even more so than Kapoor & Sons was. “Shakun’s film has brought more acclaim to Dharma than anything from the banner. He now has a responsibility towards himself, and towards the production house, which has nurtured his talent,” says the source.
