Kangana Ranaut gets candid about her snub at the award show, miffs a magazine editor

Kangana Ranaut was speaking during the podcast 'Take 2' with film crtics Anupama Chopra and Rajeev Masand.

Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut has struggled her way by going against the norms and today she is a three times National award winner.

Kangana has always been vocal about her experiences and that too with all honesty. The fearless diva recently shared an incident that happened to her in the year 2013. The 'Simran'' actress was speaking during the podcast 'Take 2' with film crtics Anupama Chopra and Rajeev Masand.

Kangana was to receive the Best Supporting Actress award for her performance in Hrithik Roshan starrer 'Krrish 3' but it was later presented to Supriya Pathak for 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram - Leela'. The actress reportedly stated that the organisers decided to take this decision since she was in the US and was unable to fly down during the ceremony.

She went on to dismiss Filmfare Awards, considered to be the most prestigious within the industry and called them rigged. “I was in the United States for my screenwriting course when I got a call from Filmfare in 2014. They told me I was going to get an award for Krrish 3 and they requested me to come back for just one day so I could attend the awards. I told them I am doing my course and going back and forth will cost me around Rs 10 lakh. Because I would miss my classes, I told them it's not possible. They decided to give the Best Supporting Actress award to Supriya Pathak for Ram Leela instead," she said, as reported by India Today.

Soon after, Filmfare editor Jitesh Pillaai took to Twitter to share his amusement on Kangana's allegations. In the series of tweets, he said:

As the industry gears up for another round of year ending award ceremonies, Kangana’s sensational revelations might prove to be dampener on the party for the winners!

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will next be seen in the role of Rani Laxmibai in her forthcoming film Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi. The film is slated to release on April 27, 2018.
