Confirmed! Taapsee and Jacqueline to romance Varun in Judwaa 2'

Mumbai: The 1997 blockbuster film’s remake ‘Judwaa 2’ will see Jacqueline and Taapsee playing female leads opposite Varun Dhawan, who plays double role in the movie. Sajid Nadiadwala and David Dhawan, makers of the Salmaan Khan-starrer ‘Judwaa’, are making the sequel after 19 years.

While Jacqueline has worked with Varun before, in Rohit Dhawan’s ‘Dishoom’, it is Taapsee who has generated much curiosity since the duo will be romancing on-screen for the first time.

What makes the movie all the more interesting is the fact that long-time friends, Producer Sajid Nadiadwala and Director David Dhawan, are teaming up after a gap of 12 years. Released in the year 2004, their last movie together was the super hit film ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’. The duo, whenever collaborated, have delivered hits their friendship is so strong that David feels ‘his sons (Rohit and Varun Dhawan) were in safe hands while working in ‘Dishoom’.

A renowned international DOP, an action coordinator (of ‘Fast & Furious’ fame) and a Hollywood studio have already conducted test shot for the film.

Scheduled for a September release next year, action sequences have already begun.
