For some time now, the buzz has been that Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput was being offered TV commercials, specifically to do with baby products. And not just Mira, baby product manufacturers are keen to rope in Shahid and Mira’s daughter Misha too.
With Shahid posting adorable pictures of him along with the two of them on Instagram on a regular basis, it was only a matter of time before they caught the attention of filmmakers as well.
Now, ending months of speculation, a source confirms that Mira Rajput was indeed busy shooting her first ever baby product commercial at YRF studios recently.
“Yes, Mira Rajput shot an ad for a foreign baby product. She worked like a thorough professional and got it right in one take; in fact, no one could believe that this was her first commercial. She is very camera friendly and performed with great dignity and confidence,” says the source, adding “No doubt Mira is a one-take artist, but if the director wanted her to do another take, she would have readily done it without throwing any tantrums. That’s how professional she is.”
Turns out husband Shahid Kapoor was very supportive of Mira’s maiden venture, as his entire team was on the sets to take care of her. However, Shahid’s trusted assistant, who usually takes care of him on the sets and has been with the actor for ages, was missing.
A unit source shares, “Mira acted alone in this commercial and she did a wonderful job. It will surely be a rage amongst mothers having babies.”
However, it will be some time before the commercial hits television screens as post-production work still remains to be done.
