Mumbai: Garnering accolades globally with a coveted invitation to the Google headquarters in New York, a series of stunning appearances at IIFA 2017 and a highly anticipated international debut with Viceroy’s House (known as Partition: 1974, in India), Huma Qureshi is in a spectacular phase while enjoying an incredible variety in her line work.
The versatile actress is currently in Chennai to shoot for the much raged about Kaala Karikalan. With a golden opportunity to work with megastar, Rajnikanth, so early in her career, Huma is extremely excited to shoot for the gangster thriller in Chennai.
After a magnificent stint at IIFA, New York, the talented actress flew to Mumbaion Wednesday and boarded a flight to Chennai, landing there on a Thursday. Having a performance-oriented role as Rajnikanth’s love interest, Huma will be shooting in Chennai for the rest of July and an entire month of August.
The shoot will be held in a set created on the outskirts of the city. Earlier the film’s team was shooting at actual locations in Mumbai from May.
A source reveals, “Huma has been working around the clock and living out of a suitcase with her challenging schedule. With just bare minimum sleep she manages her entire team pretty well. She really admires the discipline of the South Indian film industry and is looking forward to shooting in Chennai.”
