Mumbai: Son of late veteran actor Vinod Khanna, Sakshi Khanna, is all set to launch his career in Bollywood with none other than the veteran producer-director of B’town Sanjay Leela Bhansali (SLB).
Now we hear that the young actor’s dream debut with one of the most celebrated directors will have to wait for some time. SLB, who was to produce the film under his production house SLB films, has postponed Sakshi’s debut flick as the team is occupied with ‘Padmavati’.
When we contacted SLB Films, the spokesperson said, “Bhansali Productions is currently busy with Padmavati as the shooting is underway. Given the scale of the film the production house has their hands full.”
The untitled film was also supposed to mark the directorial debut of casting director Mukesh Chhabra. In a recent interview with a leading news agency, Chhabra had revealed that it (the film) is going to be a love story.
On April 27, Sakshi’s father Vinod Khanna died after a prolonged battle with cancer. Sakshi is his third son.
