Sushant Singh Rajput supports writers' rights
With the writer’s bloc up in arms against Kangana Ranaut’s alleged muscling into writer Apurva Asrani’s territory in Hansal Mehta’s Simran, the time seems right to work towards protecting writers’ rights. And Sushant Singh Rajput has taken up the initiative.
He will soon host a website where all aspiring actors can submit their screenplays and scripts for potential producers and directors’ attention. Says Sushant, “I just want to make sure that small but significant films get a chance to be made. For this, it is very essential to create platforms for emerging writing talent.” Sushant himself has writing aspirations and knows how important it is to nurture and preserve writing talent. “When I started I had no one to help me or guide me. So I know what it’s like to be lost in the entertainment business,” he says.
