Watch: Nargis reveals why she wanted to charge extra for kissing scenes in Azhar
Mumbai: Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri will be soon seen in Emraan Hashmi starrer film ‘Azhar’.
In the film, Nargis plays the role of Sangeeta Bijlani. The actress sizzled in the film’s trailer and succeeded in stepping inside her character’s skin. In ‘Azhar’, we’ll see Emraan Hashmi romancing with Prachi Desai and then Nargis Fakhri.
We already witnessed an intense chemistry between Nargis and Emraan in their film’s song ‘Bol Do Na Zara’. While we saw the two share few lip locks in the song and it all looked natural, in the making video of the song, Emraan and Nargis reveal how tough it was to shoot the song.
To get into the character, we see Emraan flaunting a sleep moustache in ‘Azhar’. Well, the “fake” moustache only made the work harder for Emraan and Nargis while shooting for smooch sequences.
“I generally like growing my own crop but in this case, I had to stick it on. It’s not a great feeling,” says Emraan Hashmi.
Whereas Nargis reveals that they had to retake the kiss scene so many times that she was going to start charging extra for the scene.
“I had to kiss that boy like five times and I was gonna start charging extra because I was like ‘Hell no. This ain’t in my contract’. I know he was happy about it although he acted like ‘Omg. I didn’t really know this was going to happen’. Liar. He loved it,” jokes Nargis.
The actress went further on and revealed that though the scene looks surreal in the film, it was a lot tougher to shoot them.
“There’s one really nice scene on the two level bus. Although it will look nice but deep down inside, we were both freezing our butts off because it was kind of cold,” adds Nargis Fakhri.
Directed by Tony D'Souza, ‘Azhar’ revolves around Mohammad Azharuddin, who led the Indian cricket team for most of the 1990s. He was implicated in a match-fixing scandal in 2000, and banned for life. But later in 2012, the Andhra Pradesh High Court lifted the ban. The film also focuses on his affair and marriage with Bollywood star Sangeeta Bijlani.
The trailer also features Prachi Desai, who plays Azharuddin’s first wife, Naureen and Nargis, who will be seen essaying the role of his girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani. In the trailer, we also see Sangeeta's 'Oye Oye' song.
