It is no secret that Bollywood showman Subhash Ghai, and his ‘Khalnayak’ star Sanjay Dutt have always shared a close friendship. The director actor duo, who have given several blockbuster hits in the past, will be teaming up once again for a film.

A few years ago, Subhash had plans of making a film with Sanjay; however, due to the circumstances then, the plan did not take shape. Now, with Sanjay’s release, the director has finally got his green signal and will kick start the project.

A source close to Subhash Ghai said that the director is currently working extensively to write the kind of script that would “perfectly suit the new Sanjay Dutt”. He has reinvented himself to face this new challenge of directing “a new actor and a stronger man from within”.

The source further adds that Ghai is positive that he will complete working on his script soon, and will also make an announcement on the film. The two will be working together after almost two decades, and after making a number of blockbusters like ‘Vidhaata’, ‘Trimurti’ and ‘Khalnayak’.

On Sanjay's release form the Yerwada jail last month, a number of top Bollywood directors like Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Sanjay Gupta, Umesh Shukla and Siddharth Anand were spotted at the actor’s house.  However, it looks like Subhsah has skipped the long line and has already got the star’s attention.

Sanjay is currently working on a book and will also give his biopic a go. Ranbir Kapoor has been roped in to play the star in the biopic directed by 'PK' director Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
