Did Sajid Khan's name in #MeToo create crack between Farah Khan-Farhan Akhtar's bond?

Mumbai: It looks like all’s not well between celebrity cousins Farhan Akhtar and Farah Khan. Though the two have been close since childhood, the twosome has lately begun to cold-shoulder one another over #MeToo allegations against Farah’s brother Sajid Khan.

Apparently, after multiple women called out Sajid for his alleged misconduct and after Sajid was sacked from his directorial duties, his sister Farah, was naturally upset with the manner in which her family affairs had panned out. Moreover, it looks like she expected some support from her celebrity cousins.

“Not that Farah expected Farhan to speak in Sajid’s support, but being family, the least Farhan and his sister Zoya could’ve done was to hold Farah’s hand during this hour of crisis, or so Farah believed. Instead, Farhan openly criticised Sajid’s conduct on Twitter and described Sajid as a shame to the family.” says a source.

What’s worse, Farhan threw a party in the same week when these ugly allegations were levelled at Farah’s brother.

“That really hurt. As things stand now, Farhan’s family has dissociated itself completely from Farah and her brother, and if Farhan gets re-married this year, you’re unlikely to see Farah dancing at the wedding,” says the friend.

We hope Farhan and Farha will sort out their differences and co-host their birthdays together as they have been doing all these years, except this year. The two normally celebrate their birthdays on two consecutive days in January. This year they celebrated their birthdays separately.
