It would look like constant promotional activities and hectic promotional rounds have taken a toll on King Khan. A group of 25 fans were brought in to interact with Shah Rukh Khan at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai, in the run-up to the release of Raees, but most of them left the place disappointed.
SRK reportedly walked in sombre (very unlike SRK), even as fans cheered and clapped. Neither the hooting, nor the slogans about how much the fans loved him cracked his mood. When one of his fans requested for an autograph on a picture, a girl from the actor’s team stepped forward to take the picture, but we wonder if it ever made its way back to her.
Yet another fan at the event requested that SRK touch her birthday cake. The peculiar request stemmed from the fact that she shared her birthday with Raees’ release, and that it would mean a lot to her. The actor however, didn’t oblige.
Some of the more disappointed fans were ones who had flown down from abroad and were left high and dry with SRK’s cool attitude. One of them was overheard saying that the charismatic persona they had of the actor had been torn to shreds.
This other fan was heard grumbling that the meet-and-greet was but a hogwash. “We’ve met actors like Salman Khan in the past. They’ve obliged us with answers to all our questions with utmost patience and love. In fact, Salman even allowed us to click pictures with him. At least Shah Rukh could’ve posed for pictures with us. We were deprived of the opportunity and were alerted to not click any pictures from our mobile phones as well,” the fan said.
One of the biggest problems the admirers had was that SRK remained available for only 15 minutes of the one hour meet-and-greet that was promised to them.
