I am very far from being a director: Shah Rukh Khan

According to the director Anand L. Rai, the story of Zero celebrates the imperfections in one's life.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan who has ruled the industry for many years has a great understanding over film making, but denies that he has plans to turn director anytime soon.

Responding to a question on this, Shah Rukh says, “No not at all. I am a filmmaker, I like making films. I could be someone who can visualise a film but not as a director. I don’t think I am so closely related to emotions.”

Adding he continues, “A director gives you the emotion and an actor shows it. So it is a different world — an actor takes and a director gives. I don’t think I am giving enough yet to become a director. I am still in the space of an actor where I would like to take some emotion and be the medium for the emotion. I am very far from being a director,” he reiterates.

Shah Rukh is currently busy promoting his film Zero in which he is casted as a dwarf and will reunite with his Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. According to the director Anand L. Rai, the story of Zero celebrates the imperfections in one’s life.

Talking about his co-stars Shah Rukh says, “Anushka is competent, organised and a fantastic actor. She takes things very seriously. Katrina is playing an actress and her characterisation is very different. Fortunately or unfortunately we have not been able to show that in the trailer. For her to go so deep into that dark space is quite amazing. I really hope people love them.”
