Mumbai: Vidya Balan might have had two flops with her previous two releases, but the actress seems to be well back on track, with her latest release, 'Tumhari Sulu'.
The film, which had generated immense buzz, upon the release of its trailer, has generated great numbers over the weekend.
The Suresh Triveni directorial, has had an opening weekend gross of 11.90 crore rupees approximately, according to boxofficeindia(dot)com.
While the Friday gross is 2.65 crore approx., Saturday and Sunday saw a massive spike, with 4.25 cr approx. and 5 cr approx., respectively.
The film even withstood tremendous competition from the global juggernaut, 'Justice League'. The film generating unanimously bad critical reviews, also helped in the small film's favour. The terrific word-of-mouth from family audiences has also helped the movie.
It remains to be seen if the film manages to pass the Monday test....
