Whether it was the immensely successful and melodious song Zara Zara or Dia Mirza and R. Madhavan’s palpable chemistry, Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein is a film that has etched itself in the history of romantic Hindi cinema. The film clocked 18 years today, and actor Dia Mirza reminisces the journey and the storyline of the film. RHTDM was Dia’s debut film, and she remembers every scene vividly even today. “Firsts are always special, but RHTDM is a film that was ahead of its time and packaged romance in a beautiful story. Apart from being a memorable start to my acting career, it has given me lifelong relationships and friendships that I cherish every day. Even now, it is difficult to believe that it has been 18 years since we shot the film,” the actress recalls.
A story of love and emotions, of deceit and honesty, Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein revolved around the characters of Maddy and Reena. From impersonating Reena’s love interest Rajeev and wooing her, to opening up to her about his true self, RHTDM took audiences on an eventful journey.
