There's so much more to Soha Ali Khan

The multifaceted Soha Ali Khan talks about her future projects and relationship with sister-in-law, Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Soha Ali Khan keeps herself busy with different kinds of projects and has been donning various hats. Says the actress, “When I am not doing films, I have a lot of endorsements and inaugural events to attend. Kunal (Khemu) and I are soon producing films under our banner, so we are busy completing the script.” But movie offers continue to come her way. Soha will next be seen in 31st October, a film which traces the events following the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1984. “I have always chosen scripts that I like. Back then, so many Sikhs were killed, but people from different religions still helped each other,” she says adding, “In 1984, I had gone to meet my grandmother in Delhi. Looking back, I can remember the trauma.”

Soha confesses that she likes to write and attributes her writing ability to her late father, the Nawab of Pataudi. “I remember my dad contributed to a magazine back then. I am not much into creative writing but am inspired by witty writing and practical experiences, which I love to pen.” On her relationship with sister-in-law, Kareena Kapoor Khan, she says, “We both love to travel. So whenever we get time, we travel and do something different.”

As to growing up in the Pataudi family, Soha says, “There was no gender bias and my parents treated all of us equally. Now since Kareena is expecting, we are all anxiously waiting to welcome a lovely child.” “Kareena knows how to keep herself healthy and fit and so working even during this phase has not brought any hindrances for her. It’s high time people start treating working women from the film industry like any other women professionals,” she says.
