Satyameva Jayate weekend box office collection: John's movie crosses 50-crore mark

John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Satyameva Jayate, an action masala entertainer had opened up with 20.52 crore at the box office. Being a national holiday, the film received a fabulous response from the audience. Despite being an A rated film, Satyameva Jayate became the highest opener for actors John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee.

The movie saw a little dip on day 2 but picked up from Wednesday, collecting 20.52 crore, followed by 7.92 crore on Thu to 9.18 crore on Friday and the weekend saw a stable collection with 9.03 crore on Saturday and 10.26 crore on Sunday.

Thus, Satyameva Jayate in total managed to earn 56.91 crore in its extended weekend release, crossing the 50 crore mark.

Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Emmay Entertainment, Satyameva Jayate is an action packed entertainer.

It released with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gold’ and the movie is one of the biggest releases of the month which is set to have a free run considering it has little to no competition from ‘Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi’, ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se’ and ‘Stree’ which will hit the theatres in the coming weeks.
