Arjun asks not to compare Mubarakan with friend Varun's Judwaa 2

The makers unveiled the trailer of the film amidst Punjabi wedding backdrop at a suburban multiplex on Tuesday.

Mumbai: The real life uncle-nephew duo have paired up for the maiden time for Aneesh Bazmee's comedy flick 'Mubarakan,' which sees Arjun Kapoor in a double role.

The makers unveiled the trailer of the film amidst Punjabi wedding backdrop at a suburban multiplex on Tuesday.

Arjun will be seen romancing his rumoured girlfriend Athiya Shetty and Ileana D'cruz in the film, while Anil Kapoor is seen mending the extra-confused love lives of his maternal and paternal nephews in the trailer.

The crew made an electrifying entry grooving on the beats of Punjabi dhol.

Undoubtedly, Anil Kapoor stole the charm of the event, by his energy which was certainly infectious.

When the media interaction began, Arjun was asked about the comeback of the 'double role' genre in Bollywood, he said, "I think from last 50 years, we have seen double roles, and before 'Mubarakan,' I have already done a double role in 'Aurangzeb.' My contemporary and friend Varun Dhawan is also doing it now. If you say that 2 romantic films are coming but the way of presenting both the films will be different."

Further asked about the comparisons made with his friend-contemporary Varun Dhawan's 'Judwaa 2.'

The actor said, "My role in 'Mubarakan' is very unique, it is not something that you have seen anywhere in the Hindi film landscape, because firstly to understand that I am his (Anil Kapoor's) 'Bhanja' (maternal nephew) and 'Bhatija' (paternal nephew), you will get to witness the newness in this double role. So without comparing and which I would hate that it shouldn't happen because Varun is my friend and we just want to make good films. So people should not do any comparative studies and if both the films entertain the audience with its uniqueness that would be a good thing."

Starring Arjun, Anil, Athiya, Ileana and Ratna Pathak Shah in crucial roles, the Anees Bazmee starrer 'Mubarakan' is slated to release on July 28.
