Kapil and Karan are no longer cordial because one disrespected the other in public?

Mumbai: Bollywood friendships are really fragile; a potential BFF turns foe in the wink of an eye! Now take the case of celebrated comedian Kapil Sharma and his Director-Producer friend Karan Johar. The duo may not have been the best of pals but were close enough for the ‘Unsuitable Boy’ to invite him on his chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’ (his episode is yet to be aired).

But that friendship has turned sour owing to Kapil’s comments on the ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ Director. It so happened that during an awards function, Karan got very irate over what Kapil said:

“While hosting the awards show, Kapil Sharma invited SRK to co-host a segment along with him. Karan, who was co-hosting with Kapil till then, was asked to leave the stage in an allegedly disrespectful fashion. ‘You are my assistant and you may leave now’ is what the comedian said. This statement did not go down too well with Karan and he took offence to it.”

A little birdie also tells us that Kapil’s association with Sony Entertainment channel (remember the 100 Cr deal between these two parties?) upset Karan also added fuel to the fire as he is ‘slightly inclined’ towards Sony’s arch rival, Colors TV.

Classic example of business and vices ruining friendship. Interesting!
