Shah Rukh Khan to kick off Kapil's new show
If all goes well for Kapil Sharma, his re-entry on television will be a grand one. The comedian who had become a household name thanks to his popular Comedy Nights with Kapil has moved to a rival television channel after a fallout with the original hosts. But if things go as planned, his first guest on the new show will be Shah Rukh Khan. The star has graced Kapil’s show multiple times in the past and this time around, he will be there to promote Maneesh Sharma’s Fan.
Kapil will welcome the actor along with his Comedy Nights crew — Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar, Sumona Chakravarti, Navjot Singh Siddhu and Kiku Sharda. Whether they will come as their popular characters Gutthi, Dadi or so on, is yet to be seen, as the team is trying to work around a contract that gives the original hosts the exclusive rights over the characters. As of now, the plan is to unveil the look of the show at a press conference next month.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Virat Kohli have shot for the promos welcoming the return of Kapil on national television. When the show first went off air, SRK had said, “Kapil’s a very talented man, one of the best stand-up comics we have. He did a very good job in the film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon too. Hope he does something else soon so that we all can be entertained.” Looks like SRK is there to give him a head start.
