The annual Forbes India Celebrity100 list for 2019 is out. For the first time, a sportsperson has replaced the Khans of Bollywood at the top of the list - the man who has achieved this feat is none other than India’s cricket captain Virat Kohli!

Salman Khan has been pushed to No 3 as Akshay Kumar climbed to second place. Amitabh Bachchan, M.S Dhoni and SRK follow.

Superstar Rajinikanth has featured on the Forbes India Celebrity 100 lists since 2014. This year, Thalaivar finds himself at number 13, one place up from his previous ranking of 14, with an estimated earning of Rs 100 crore just through his two consecutive blockbusters-S Shankar's 2.0, which was made at a whopping Rs 500-crore budget and Karthik Subbaraj's Petta.

Music maestro AR Rahman has been pushed to the16th spot from the 11th place. Vijay and Ajith have been regulars on the list since 2017. This time around, while Vijay has been pushed to 47th position from the 26th place in 2018, Ajith is ranked  52nd. Director Siva makes it to the list in the 80th slot. His entry was attributed to the success of his film Viswasam, for which he earned an estimated Rs 12.17 crore.

Dhanush, with his pan Indian appeal, was ahead of his father-in-law in 2015 at rank 37 (Rajini was in 69th position) but now comes in at No. 64. Shankar (55), Kamal Haasan (56) and Karthik Subbaraj who directed Rajini in Petta (84) are others on the list.

The celebrity ranking in the annual Forbes India Celebrity 100 list are based on an aggregate of the estimated earnings and their calculated fame quotient, via print and social media reach.
