After Ranbir Kapoor rocked the screen with his rendition of a Rockstar, Chitrangada Singh is all set to strike a chord on the silver screen with Girish Malik’s next. Chitrangada, who was last seen in a full-fledged role in Kapil Sharma’s I, Me Aur Main, back in 2013, has bagged a new film that tracks the journey of a fallen rockstar.
Quite like Ranbir’s Rockstar, Chitrangada’s movie too is set to be high on emotion, drama and — of course — music. The actress’ role is a power-packed one, in this woman oriented film by Girish Malik, who had stepped into Bollywood with Jal. After having earned praises for her item number Aao Raja in Gabbar is Back, Chitrangada has now started shooting for the film, which has also tentatively been titled Rockstar.
Says a source, “The makers are trying to keep details about the film under wraps for now, and will only release the film’s first look once the movie is completely ready.”
