Ajay Devgan is one of the producers for the Rajkummar-Rao and Nushrat-Bharucha-starrer Chhalaang, which is directed by Hansal Mehta and all set for a Diwali release on Amazon Prime. Ajay co-produces the family entertainer with Luv Ranjan and Anurag Garg.
Ajay tells us how he could relate to the script, which has apparently factored in entertainment value as well as humour. “Usually with such content, it tends to be boring. But Luv Ranjan has penned the script so very interestingly that I could instantly connect with it and had to join hands with them for this flick,” Ajay tells us.
Opening up a little more about the film, Ajay shares how its story took him down the memory lane, reminding him of his childhood days. “Back then, we weren’t exposed to too many gadgets as the kids today are. Playing and entertainment meant differently for us — it was about playing a sport and about being on the playground. It was ‘physical exercise’ for us, when we turned into brats without once disrespecting our teachers,” adds Ajay.
Ajay emphasises on how the script of the film is inspirational, hoping parents and children who watch this film realise the importance of not only playing a sport, but also to have fun with the sport.
