Padmavati co-stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor can't stand each other?

Mumbai: Trouble doesn’t seem to evade Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’. If reports are to be believed, all’s not well between his two leading men, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.

Rumours have been doing the rounds that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s relationship has hit an unprecedented rough patch, and a lot of it could have to do with Shahid Kapoor’s involvement in the film.

Reportedly, Deepika was keen on Shahid being cast, an initiation Ranveer wasn’t too pleased with. Besides, the ‘Haider’ actor, being Deepika’s reel husband, will get to share more screenspace with her, as against Ranveer’s antagonistic Allaudin Khilji.

Also, the fact that Deepika allegedly having asked Bhansali for her to feature exclusively in the film’s first look hasn’t gone down well with Ranveer, either.

Ranveer and Shahid had been bonding over gymming and other stuff, but all that was ultimately in vain. Bhansali himself had tried to break the ice between the two by inviting them over for dinner, but to no avail.

The friction would definitely not help the film, being set against a mammoth budget.
