Salman's Tubelight distributors asked to wait to get refund for their losses?

Tubelight's India collections presently stands just above Rs 120 crore.

Apparently, Salim Khan along with other prominent members of the production team of the film Tubelight had met with distributors, who suffered losses while distributing Salman’s only flop in recent times.

They promised to refund some money, partaking half their losses. But now, distributors reveal that Salim Khan has asked them to hold on till the film finishes its run at the box office.

“Salman’s films have usually been very profitable to the distributors as much as to the producers. So, it is only fair that Salim saab has now asked us to wait and watch the life time India box office collection of Tubelight. The makers of Tubelight will consider a refund to the distributors only after the film is off the theatres. Some wanted the compensation immediately, but that is not how business is done here,” says a distributor requesting anonymity.

So, probably, the final figure will be arrived upon by the first week of August. Tubelight’s India collections presently stands just above Rs 120 crore.

Salman Khan’s next film Tiger Zinda Hai is also a much-awaited movie, but Yash Raj Films will distribute that via their distribution arm. The pricing of Salman’s next home production will inevitably depend on how he cuts his losses.
