Salman Khan dying to work with Aamir Khan in Andaaz Apna Apna sequel
Days after Aamir Khan expressed his eagerness to work with Salman Khan in a squeal to their 1994 hit comedy 'Andaz Apna Apna’, the ‘Sultan’ star has revealed that the feelings are mutual.
Recently, Salman was asked about his plans to star in 'Andaz Apna Apna 2' and was even informed about Aamir’s eagerness to work with him. The actor, who was working on his ‘Sultan’ shoot, told the media that he is dying to work with Aamir in the film's sequel.
Early this week, Aamir had expressed his desire to co-star with Salman while interacting with the media at the location shoot of his upcoming wrestling biopic ' Dangal' in Ludhiana.
"I would love to do 'Andaz Apna Apna 2' with Salman. I hope to work with him again but only if the right script and film comes up. I'm sure both of us would love to do it," he said.
Preeti Sinha, daughter of Vinay Sinha, Director, Reel Life Entertainment (I) Pvt Ltd said that 'Andaz Apna Apna 2', would go on the floors very soon and that the rights of the same was not sold out to to Phantom Films. The upcoming sequel, which will be helmed by Vikas Bahl or Vikramaditya Motwane, would reportedly be rolled out by the year's end.
"It is to be noted that the rights of the film remain with Vinay Pictures and have not been sold to Phantom Films," Priti Sinha said.
She added, “Vinay Sinha has not sold the rights to Phantom Films or anybody else as reported by a section of media. Also, the film is not a remake of the original 'Andaz Apna Apna'."
'Andaz Apna Apna' was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and starred Aamir Khan in the role of Amar, while Salman portrayed the role of Prem alongside Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor.
The movie, which was released on 11 April 1994, is still regarded as one of the best comedy films of all time.
