Box Office report: Alia, Sidharth and Fawad starrer Kapoor & Sons gets a steady start

Shakun Batra’s 'Kapoor & Sons' starring Rishi Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan released this Friday. The film that deals with family drama had a decent occupancy in the morning shows on Friday. The footfall increased towards the evening and around 30-35 percent occupancy was registered in multiplexes.

The film has got great reviews and the audiences have also loved the film. According the makers, the film collected Rs. 6.85 cr on its first day at the box office.

Given the positive word of mouth, the business on Saturday and Sunday will be on the higher side. Over the weekend, the film could collect close to Rs. 25 cr.

Kapoor & Sons is Shakun’s second film with Dharma Productions. Mahesh Bhatt, after watching the film called him the brightest kid in town. Way to go Shakun!
