Guild President Mukesh Bhatt appeals MNS to allow Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' release

The filmmaker once again stood up for the release of the film urging 'brother' MNS to go on in peace.

Mumbai: The release of Diwali release ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ has been in limbo after political parties threatened to stall the film for featuring a Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in it. And later the Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India had also refused to release the film, as a result of which the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Goa would not screen the film.

However, the Film & Television Producers Guild of India Ltd (Guild) had backed the release of the film, urging the government to ensure the release citing the massive amounts that has been put into the making of the already completed film.

The President of the Guild, Mukesh Bhatt, once again stood up for the film, and has openly appealed to one of the protesting political parties, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, to allow the release of the film. “MNS is my brother, only with different thinking. I can only appeal to my brother to go on in peace," Bhatt was reported as saying by ANI.

‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is scheduled to release on 28 October.
