It is well known that Shilpa Shetty Kundra is one of the leading names in the wellness sector. Given her tremendous body of work as a wellness entrepreneur, the actress was offered big money for endorsing pills for slimming down. However, Shilpa turned the offer down and confirmed that she doesn’t want to set the wrong example by advocating for unnatural slimming.
This comes at a time when consumer activists are also telling stars to believe in the product they endorse or face consequences if the products have adverse effects.
Meanwhile, Shilpa, who practices the ancient discipline of yoga and has written books dedicated to nutrition, cautioned everyone, especially youngsters, against unnatural slimming agents. “I can’t sell anything that I don’t believe in. ‘Slimming pills’ and fad diets can be tempting at times, promising instant results, but I want to caution the youth and remind them that nothing beats the sense of pride of being committed to your routine and eating right. Lifestyle modification works so much better in the long term. A workout of your choice, balanced nutrition and will power is all you need,” she advises.
