Mumbai: 2017 has turned out to be an eventful year for Saif Ali Khan, as he’s got several films in his kitty.
The actor has already wrapped up Raja Krishna Menon’s gastronomical comedy ‘Chef’ in February, followed by Akshat Verma’s ‘Kaalakaandi.’ He began shooting for Gauravv Chawla’s Nikkhil Advani-produced 'Baazaar' in May with Chitrangda Singh, Radhika Apte and newcomer Rohan Mehra.
Another film that the actor has grabbed is 'Soorma,' where he'll be essaying the character of an Afghan warrior.
A reliable source informed us that Saif is all set to play an Afghan warrior in the film ‘Soorma,’ which is produced by Honey Trehaan.
And the film is to be helmed by NH10's Navdeep Singh.
Honey Trehaan is a casting director, and will be soon directing Vishal Bhardwaj’s period gangster film, which features Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan.
‘Soorma’ will be Trehaan's first outing as a producer.
Talking about ‘Soorma,’ the source further revealed, “Only Saif’s part has been locked. Honey is yet to shortlist the director and the remaining cast for this film.”
However, according to a tabloid, Saif is also playing a warrior in Aanand L Rai’s untitled next, which is based on the Battle of Buxar....
