Aamir Khan hits out strongly at CBFC
Actor Aamir Khan recently hit out strongly at the CBFC and said that it would reflect very badly on them if the allegations about the Board’s involvement in leaking the censor copy of Udta Punjab turned out to be true. The actor, who is currently shooting for Dangal in Ludhiana, also came out strongly against the menace of piracy.
“I am not sure if it (leaked copy) was a CBFC copy. But if it is a censor board copy, then it’s a shame on CBFC and it reflects very badly on them. Piracy is an issue that we all have been fighting with for a long time,” expressed Aamir, speaking to reporters from the sets of Dangal.
Aamir, who is back in Ludhiana after a gap of five months, will be shooting for scenes with the young version of wrestling coach Mahavir Phogat in the upcoming sports biopic. Earlier, the actor had also supported the makers of Udta Punjab in their fight against the CBFC and had also recently taken to Twitter to urge fans to watch the film in theatres.
Telling the reporters how excited he is about watching the film, Aamir said, “I am quite excited about the film and am eagerly waiting for it. It’s a good decision by the Bombay High Court. I will be watching it here as I am in the middle of shooting now.”
