Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff take over Mahatma’s date

It seems that director Siddharth Anand has found a rather ironic way to pay a tribute to the man who advocated non-violence.

Mumbai: It seems that director Siddharth Anand has found a rather ironic way to pay a tribute to the man who advocated non-violence – Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.

While his film billed as Hrithik Vs Tiger will release on Gandhi Jayanti this year, his next film on the remake of Rambo is now looking to be released on Gandhi’s birth anniversary next year.

“Well, it is a new date that Anand discovered when he was making Bang Bang. The Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan starrer film released on Gandhi Jayanti along with Vishal Bharadwaj’s violence-filled Haider and was a huge hit despite the fact that it released on such a date. So the filmmaker seems to have made it his own. Interestingly, this year’s Gandhi Jayanti release also has Hrithik Roshan in it. And Tiger will be featuring this year and 2020’s Gandhi Jayanti releases,” enlightens a trade source.

Interestingly, the violent thriller Andhadhun made it on the same weekend in 2018 as did Meghana Gulzar’s Talvar in 2015.
