Uday Chopra has finally broken his silence on his alleged break-up with actress Nargis Fakhri. The producer sent out a statement for the first time, where he took the liberty to dismiss various rumours doing the rounds and also lashed out at the media for reporting a lot of ‘fiction disguised as facts’.
Uday who hardly ever sends out clarifications, released a statement via his spokesperson that read, “I normally don’t respond to gossip, but the press has been reporting a lot of fiction disguised as fact. I would just like to clarify that Nargis and I have been and still are very close friends. The press has done a wonderful job of creating stories out of thin air and I applaud their creativity. However these are all untrue.”
This statement comes days after reports claimed that Nargis had a nervous breakdown and flew out to New York, because Uday turned down her marriage proposal. Nargis’ spokesperson had dismissed those rumours saying that the star has gone back home to recuperate and treat her illness.
Nargis is currently working on her next film with Riteish Deshmukh ‘Banjo’. She had previously starred in ‘Azhar’ which opened to a good weekend at the box office.
