Prabhas to romance with Deepika Padukone in his Bollywood debut?

Mumbai: SS Rajamouli's epic franchise 'Baahubali' set Prabhas as one of the biggest superstars of the country. The two films collectively broke all records at the domestic and international box-office, and changed the face of Telugu cinema abroad. Since then Prabhas has been flooded with lots of film offers, especially from Bollywood.

Filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions played a vital role in the distributions of SS Rajamouli’s 'Baahubali' franchise in various regions of India. And if reports are to be believed, it will be KJo who will be launching Southern superstar in Bollywood. And now, according to recent reports, Deepika Padukone has been approached by the makers, to star opposite him in his Bollywood debut.

Rumours have it that Deepika is being considered by the makers for a role opposite Prabhas and the initial talks are underway. It is said that they have narrated the script to her recently, but the 'Padmaavat' actress is yet to give her consent for the project.

In a recent interview with TOI 'Baahubali' star Prabhas revealed that he is getting lots of Hindi film offers. He said, “I watch a lot of Hindi films. I live in Hyderabad, where 60 percent of the people speak Hindi. I am getting good offers from Bollywood. I had okay-ed a script three years ago. It is a love story that I will do post Saaho."

Well, if this rumour turns out to be true, it would definitely be an interesting casting coup!

Prabhas will next be seen in the trilingual film 'Saaho', co-starring Shraddha Kapoor. The film will release some time this year. Deepika is currently excited about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat'. It is slated to release on 25 January.
