Shraddha Kapoor follows Farhan Akhtar's footsteps for Saina Nehwal biopic

Mumbai: Shraddha Kapoor was earlier training under Pullela Gopichand and Saina Nehwal to get her style right for the biopic being made on Saina. And, after a couple of injuries, Shraddha has now approached Jitesh Padukone from the Padukone Shuttlers Academy to learn better badminton for her character.

“Shraddha was taking a very long time to get the act right because it is not easy for any actress to look like a sportsperson. It is important that she gets the nuances right when she is playing someone like Saina, since she will be under scrutiny. After all, the film is not just about acting, but also about playing the sport,” says our trade source.

Shraddha is following her close friend Farhan Akhtar’s footsteps as she essays the role of a living sports legend. Farhan had played the role of Milkha Singh in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'. He trained for a year to get his body fit for the role of an athlete. Shraddha too will take her time before the film goes on the floors late February 2018.
