I am busy with work, rumours about Ranbir are senseless: Shruti Haasan

Mumbai: Ever since Kat and Ranbir split after a long association of 6 years, the gossipmongers have not been too kind on the ‘Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani’ star. Kapoor’s name was earlier linked to Bollywood diva Jacqueline Fernandez and now it is Shruti Haasan who is under scrutiny.

Rumour has it, Shruti Haasan and Ranbir bonded well on the sets of an ad shoot and were spotted on a hush-hush dinner date. When asked about her rumoured love interest Ranbir Kapoor, the ‘Gabbar is Back’ actress did not encourage the ‘senseless’ speculation and was quick to call it ‘funny and ridiculous’

"It's so funny and ridiculous that it doesn't even make any sense…I am very busy with my work and have nothing to say because these rumours don't affect me anymore," she said to a daily.

Professionally, Shruti is beyond excited to team up with her father, veteran actor Kamal Haasan for the first time. Although her father is a ‘taskmaster’, Shruti recounts that they had their share of sweet moments. "We were shooting for an emotional sequence and he was supposed to take my character's name, but ended up calling out my real name. Kamal Haasan rarely messes up things, so that was sweet," Shruti revealed.

Shruti’s recent video ‘Be The Bitch’ is a fresh take on the cuss word ‘Bitch’, which is always attached to negative attributes in a woman. Written and acted by Shruti herself, the actress insists she is in no way a feminist or harbours bitter feelings against men, all she wanted was to overhaul the stigma sticking to the word ‘Bitch’.

“I wanted to do something that'd feel real to my thought process and also reflect who I am as a person. I wrote a few lines and discussed the idea to showcase a gutsy yet vulnerable woman of today who is otherwise labeled 'the bitch'. Everyone loved it,” said Haasan.
