Watch: Emraan-Esha's Socha Hai' from Baadshaho mocks current Bollywood remixes

The song is a recreated version of the song 'Keh Doon Tumhein' from the iconic film 'Dewaar.'

Mumbai: Presently, there is a blow of remixing cult retro songs in Bollywood movies. Almost every other film has remixes, which is inclusive of a mandatory rap.

Song ‘Socha Hai’ from ‘Baadshaho’ too, is a reprised version of the iconic Shashi Kapoor-Neetu Singh song ‘Keh Doon Tumhein’ from ‘Deewar.’

The song in ‘Baadshaho’ is picturised on one of the lead pairs- Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta, wherein in the opening credits the voice-over says, “Sunte hain bina rap vala remix” (Let’s listen to a remixed version of the song sans rap.)

The caption itself is a mockery at the 2017 released films, which mostly consisted of remixes and how the reprised version ruined the classic feel of the song with unnecessary rap in it.

‘Socha Hai’ shows Emraan beginning with whistling the ‘Keh Doon Tumhein’ tune, which follows with the lyrics, and has the essence of the 1970s and their sensual chemistry in 'Socha Hai' is unmissable.

The film’s first song ‘Mere Rashke Qamar’ featuring Ajay Devgn and Ileana D’cruz is also a remix. The makers revived the original song in the film, without losing its authenticity. And the song is undoubtedly dominating the chartbusters.

'Baadshaho,' directed by Milan Luthria, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Milan Luthria releases on September 1, 2017.
