Khiladi Kumar on the run, has no time to waste
The stupendous success of Rustom, once again proves that Khiladi Kumar can give a tough fight to the Khans at the box office. Even with the release of his movie clashing with the much-hyped period movie Mohejo Daro starring Hrithik Roshan, Akshay has made a mark, stating that he is here to stay.
And with a tightly-packed schedule, Akshay is engaged in back-to-back shoots and promotions. Sources say, “He doesn’t have time to even breathe. Akshay was shooting for an advertisement in Kerala and flew down to Mumbai to meet reporters for his success chit-chat on the Independence Day. He will be rushing to Lucknow for the shoot of his next flick Jolly LLB-2.”
Explaining his affinity to family, the source says, “After that, he will visit his family in Mumbai. Being very close to his family, Akki makes it a point to leave home by 6pm sharp. He is very particular about spending time with wife and kids; such a perfect family man he is.”
Meanwhile, Akshay will be flying down to Chennai for the 20-day schedule of Robot 0.2. Asked about his next film Ikka, the remake of Tamil movie Kaththi, the soucrce said nothing was finalised yet. “We have another film Crack with Akshay and Neeraj Pandey coming together and is expected to release on next year’s I-Day,” he added.
Speaking to reporters, Akki too confirmed his schedule, “Yes, I have just returned from Kerala after shooting for the ad and tomorrow, I will be flying to Lucknow for the shoot of Jolly LLB-2 in which I play a lawyer. The film has a comedy element with a pinch of thrill and drama — more than what it had in part-1.”
He also very humbly protested the use of the word ‘clash’. “There was no clash between Rustom and Mohenjo Daro. Please do not use that word. We all belong to film fraternity and work hard to see our works being successful. Hrithik and I are neighbours and friends and shall always remain friends.”
