Saif anxious about daughter Sara's career choice; Bollywood an 'unstable profession'
Mumbai: Bollywood is a big world of glitz and glamour, the unstable profession. A Friday decides the career graph of the actors, and therefore Saif Ali Khan has too many apprehensions over daughter Sara Ali Khan locking Bollywood as her profession.
According to him, this is not the life any parent would want for their children.
Revealing about it in details, the actor spoke to a daily and said, “Why would she want that for herself? Look at where she studied. After having done that, why wouldn’t she want to live and work in New York, rather than do this? I am not looking down on acting, it’s just it is not the most stable profession. And everyone lives in constant fear. And there is no guarantee that despite doing your best, you will succeed. This is not the life, any parent would want for their children.”
However, he admitted to the fact that he was always aware of Sara’s dream of joining the addictive glamour world. He narrated a relative incident.
The 46-year-old actor said, “I remember years ago we’d gone for a stage show abroad and while I was on the stage with Salman and other actors, Sara was standing behind the stage curtain and looking at us. I knew then that she wanted this for herself. Being on stage and people shouting her name.”
Now that Sara has sealed her first film, an Abhishek Kapoor film alongside Sushant Singh Rajput, where her mom Amrita Singh (estranged wife of Saif Ali Khan) is prepping her up for the role, Saif says that he wasn’t remotely involved in fetching Sara’s maiden Bollywood project.
“I am there if she needs to ask or talk to me about anything. I know what she is doing and we talk about films just like we do about everything else,” divulged the actor.
