Nargis Fakhri\'s Amavas to have a sequel?
Amavas may have been eclipsed early at the box office but the makers of the Sachiin Joshi-Nargis Fakhri starrer are now readying a sequel to the film. Amavas directed by Bhushan Patel grossed just around Rs 3 crore at the turnstiles but the producers are keen to get Bhushan Patel back to helm the sequel as well.
“Bhushan has made films like Ragini MMS 2, Alone, 1920: The Evil Returns among others. He understands horror pretty well and since the producers want to build Amavas as a franchise, they want to make a sequel immediately to the February release. They are now looking for the lead cast and will lock in on the same soon. Not many filmmakers try and make a sequel to a flop film, but this one is pretty different,” says a source.
Sources close to the development of the film inform us that the sequel will be high on VFX and the pre-production work on the film is starting at the earliest once Bhushan wraps the shooting of his other film Aadat with Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover.
