Mumbai: Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor admitted that he is going to become a father.
When asked about reports about his fatherhood, the actor told reporters, "Why are you asking ghuma firake (round about), ask directly. Yes...haan mein baap banne wala hoon (yes, I am going to become a father)."

He was talking to reporters at the trailer launch of "Udta Punjab" here. Shahid and his wife Mira Rajput, who tied the knot in July last year, are expecting their first child. Mira's reported pregnancy became a talking point when she walked the ramp at the fashion week recently.
A recent post by Indian fashion designer Masaba Gupta on her Instagram page sparked the 'rumour' and set the gossip mills abuzz when she hinted at Mira's pregnancy.
It was reported earlier that Mira, who is in the early stage of her pregnancy, flew to Punjab to spend some quiet time with her family.
