I would have liked to be the invisible person around Lt Indira Gandhi: Tapasee Pannu

“Who would not like to play Mrs. Indira Gandhi,\" questions the actress.

Mumbai: Tapasee Pannu has been publishing promotional videos for her next film ,’Naam Shabana’, which she is responsible for conceptualizing. Both Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu share a good rapport hence the ‘Koni Maar’ video too was done by them .The makers weren’t even aware of it.

Kudos to the newfound promotional tactics, almost all the actors participate actively for promoting their respective films. Coming back to ‘Naam Shabana’, Tapasee, who plays a spy in the film, surprisingly does not identify with the character.

“It is said that a lady always has her sixth sense very much active. And so ladies spy are more helpful as professionals –Spy”. I am gullible in real life. I just don’t have the patience and energy to waste time in order to spy someone in real. So this was a challenging character to me.”

“ I am not suspicious in nature at all. I love to be in my own space and concentrate in what I am pursuing at every moment in time. I’m unpredictable both for myself and others. I may have decided on certain thing but after 24 hours I may not go for it …I do not plan anything .I am head strong and if at all I make changes in what I may have planned ,IF I may have gone wrong in doing so ,yet I will stand y what I have decided,” she added.

Having said that, had Tapasee been born in the seventies she would have loved to be an invisible person around Late Mrs Indira Gandhi, “Yes agar mein seventies mein zinda hoti toh I would love to be around Mrs Indira Gandhi and know all her stories whether it was her- Be it her personal life /professional life is something which surely needs to be written. Every sphere of her life is something I would love to read and enact as well. Be it then early childhood days, her marriage, the emergency period and when she was shot dead.”

But even Vidya cherishes to play Mrs Indira Gandhi she too is a strong contender. “Who would not like to play Mrs. Indira Gandhi… If any woman says that she does not want to play her will be like a shock,” further added Taapsee.

“There could be so many more contenders as there are countless layers to her character. Who so ever plays her she will definitely achieve the heights of being the epitome of an actor .Her life will be sorted. I think Mrs. Indira Gandhi’s life span cannot be shown just in two and a half hours time .It will need to be completed in lot many series to showcase every bit of her life accurately.”

Film works production Neeraj Pandey's ‘Naam Shabana’ directed by Shivam Nair is all set to release on 31st March 2017.
